Tom Meinert and Dave Mashek have worked together for nearly 30 years. Their approach to every client engagement is focused on hard work and eliminating redundant, wasteful and expensive services that can be experienced with larger firms.
Tom Meinert has provided communications counseling and public relations support for clients in a broad range of industries, including environmental, mining, telecommunications, hospitality, commercial development and non-profit organizations. His expertise includes public affairs, media and crisis communications, community relations and marketing.
Tom’s experience has ranged from implementing strategic communications programs for highly-publicized and controversial commercial development projects, to managing crisis events for numerous corporations and government agencies.
He previously managed a Pittsburgh-based communications and public affairs firm before forming Meinert/Mashek Communications in May 2010.
Tom is a graduate of Edinboro University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communications.
Dave Mashek has specialized in integrated public affairs for the majority of his career. He has developed and implemented strategies for Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, non-profit associations and government agencies to better engage local communities, the news media and public officials on complex issues and projects, using strategic communications as a tool to identify and address risks and local concerns.
Dave has worked on Capitol Hill as a legislative assistant, at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources as deputy press secretary and at the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce as a program manager and government affairs officer. He was previously a partner with a Pittsburgh-area communications and public affairs company prior to forming Meinert/Mashek Communications in May 2010.
Dave graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
John Hartley has created visual and marketing materials for a wide range of clients including government agencies, nonprofit organizations and private sector.
He offers our clients more than 30 years of creative expertise. Whether creating an ad campaign, capability materials, web site, direct marketing or social marketing campaign, he lends his know-how to all areas of the marketing communication process. His diverse corporate and agency background allows him to approach projects from all perspectives, while always being mindful of deadlines, budgets and client expectations.
John is a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and has a bachelor’s degree in integrated marketing communications from Point Park University.
